OUR STANDARD FLOATS ARE NOT STANDARD
At Trophy Trailers, all of our horsefloats and
goosenecks are built with a galvanised chassis using galvanised angle
iron cross members rather than the standard box section commonly used.
This eliminates moisture and urine entering the cross member and being
trapped where they can cause rust. To further eliminate rust problems,
the floor is coated with an anti-fatigue spray-on rubber flooring which
also seals the floor from any moisture, helping to prolong the life of
your float.
Under the rubber flooring of our floats, we use hardwood timber. This
outlasts the structural plywoods and can be replaced board by board as
required rather than redoing a whole floor.
The suspension used is a leaf-spring load-sharing suspension that has
proven itself over years of use in the transport industry as a reliable,
low-cost system to maintain.
You have a choice of either a steel or fibreglass cladding for your
float.
The steel used is a 1.6mm zincanneal sheeting which is welded to the
frame, not pop-rivetted. The steel is then etch-primed and painted with
high-grade 2-pac paint to protect your investment from the elements.
The fibreglass used is a 5mm coremat fibreglass. This is a high strength
fibreglass sheeting that eliminates any rust and paint problems and is
also slightly lighter than the metal sheeting. It is fitted in one piece
eliminating any joins; hence reducing the chance of any leaks and
producing a smoother, more uniform finish.
We use LED lights to eliminate problems with bad connections and bulbs
not working to help ensure the safety of you and your animals.
Five new alloy mags and tyres are a standard feature on our float.
Both our straight-load and angle floats have a fully removable divider
system allowing greater access if a horse goes down or has problems. It
also leaves an open floor area so your float can be used to cart hay or
roll your swag out with ease.
A strut-assisted tail-gate will sit firm on the ground when opened which
leaves the tail-gate solid when the horse steps onto it. Some
spring-loaded tail-gates bounce giving the horse a sense of nothing
solid underfoot. A strut-assisted tail-gate is also user-friendly, even
if you havent had your Weet-bix.
All floats can be customised to meet your requirements.
